Songs of 2020 Part 1: 100-51

Well another year's gone past (and boy didn't it FLY past uneventfully... ha... ha...) so despite the barrage of squirting liquid shit that was 2020, Jez and I still managed to power through another 1000 albums (and EPs) this year. So as usual, the way I kick things off is to post an un-annotated list of my 100-51 favourite songs of the year. Tomorrow I will post 50-21 with brief comments and the following day my top 20 songs of the year with slightly more substantial comments. Following that, my top 25 albums of the year. 

Now since I started this yearly custom last year, I thought I'd make it an annual tradition by first of all mentioning what I consider to be the worst two songs and albums of the year. I haven't subjected these winners to enormous scrutiny, but at the same time I'm not prepared to listen to arguments that they're not terrible, because they are.

Worst Song of the Year: Pandemia - Three Beat Slide

Runner-Up: Paranoid Android (Like a Version) - Ball Park Music

Worst Album of the Year: Copy That - Sara Evans

Runner-Up: Eternal Recurrence - Constantine Skourlis

 

With that negativity out of the way, we can focus on the positives to come out of this year, starting with 50 of the best songs I heard.
